A Singapore Uber driver has told News24 that he was the victim of a racist attack after ordering a meal for a passenger in his Uber car.
According to the driver, the man who ordered the meal was white, but the waiter who brought the meal to the table later confirmed the driver was black.
The driver said the man asked him to pay for the meal, and when he refused he said, “We will take the rest of the money back.”
The man told News 24 that the man then yelled, “I will not take your money back, I will kill you.”
The driver did not report the incident to the police.
He also said that the Uber driver had not been drunk, and that he did not have any alcohol on him.
Uber has apologised to the man, but he has since filed a complaint with the police about the incident.
