ESPN Criid columnist Matt Arco sat down with ESPN’s Alex Pappas and the rest of the ESPN staff to discuss the server space and what it’s like to be part of the new generation of server farms.
Arco talked about the state of server virtualization, the importance of hosting multiple machines and how it’s all connected together.
Arco also touched on the importance in building your own server, which will be the biggest hurdle in server virtualizing.
Pappas also shared some of the other new technologies coming to server hosting in the future, including Docker, CloudFormation, and a few new technologies like ElasticSearch and Kubernetes.
Aracos hosts and writes for ESPN’s NBA Countdown, NBA Countdown Live, ESPN Classic, and NBA TV.
